Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names or case references entered into a search tool are sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Walker County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to respond. Messages are not disclosed outside the organization unless a valid legal obligation requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive technical details such as:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics vendors may combine this activity into summary reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Walker County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case information. It publishes general directions to the Walker County Clerk of Superior Court, local courts, and Georgia provider-backed access routes. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider determines its retention and disclosure practices, so review its terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Walker clerk profile, trial-court pages, PeachCourt, legal resources, or outside search services. Once an external link opens, that destination's policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for collected data. No internet system can guarantee complete protection, however, and absolute security cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Information known to have been provided by a minor will be removed upon a valid request.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Georgia privacy and consumer-protection law may provide rights concerning personal data. The Georgia Open Records Act and Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 govern government or court records, not private visitor analytics maintained here. Subject to applicable law, a user may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
